Ecological building solutions from Poland are conquering the US

The SADDAR company specializing in the production of ecological building elements, with the support of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), signed a contract with an American chain of 350 construction hypermarkets. The first order gives the company the opportunity to quickly expand its range of products in the USA to include new products and customers.
The introduction of SADDAR products to the chain of American DIY hypermarkets is the first step in the support provided by the PAIH trade office in Washington. The next step is to build knowledge on the US market about the advantages of the Polish product for the natural environment.

The pioneering solution for the production of composite material specially developed by SADDAR, based on the raw material of recycled PET bottles, is very attractive to Americans. According to McKinsey & Company data, only 28 percent of plastic from packaging and bottles is recycled in the US. The circular economy model, which our domestic producer fits perfectly into, is attracting more and more attention in the United States. California itself, which is a leader in ecological solutions, is the world’s fifth economy and that’s where we will be looking for new contracts for the Polish producer – said Bartosz Szajda, Head of the PAIH Office in Washington.

The composite eco-anchor is a product based on a proprietary design and a world-wide innovative idea of using PET bottles for its production. The hegemony of manufacturers and suppliers of steel anchors, has been broken by the proprietary solution of the Polish company SADDAR, which has already successfully been conquering Western Europe. The solutions offered by SADDAR have a wide variety of uses, including that of elements for the assembly of fences, wooden garden architecture or in the construction sector. These anchors can be driven in, screwed in and screwed into almost any type of soil or surface. They are used on a large scale in, among other places, in the installation of huge solar farms in the US. Installation of the anchors is, quick and environmentally friendly: without the use of cement and without the need to prepare the ground using heavy equipment. If necessary, the installations can simply be moved to another place, without damaging the environment adds Bartosz Szajda.

Our goal is to provide an ideal ecological product that will make a significant contribution to protection of the natural environment. In addition to the expansion in the US that has just begun, in the next 3 years we also plan to strengthen position in Europe, gaining 25 percent of the market. With a production level of 1.5 million units per year and the use of 20 bottles per one eco-anchor, we will recycle as many as 30 million plastic bottles. Therefore, we can proudly speak of our ‘green merits’ – said Dariusz Sadowiński, the founder of SADDAR.

The basic raw material, PET, comes from the recycling of mainly plastic bottles whichcontained, mineral water or carbonated drinks and is an important factor in environmental protection and the transformation of post-consumer or post-production plastic waste, into a fully-fledged new product that replaces a more expensive one, which is made of steel sheet and the production of which requires the use of a large amount of energy and non-renewable mineral. While being at the same time, a harmful burden to the environment, especially the atmosphere. At the same time, the SADDAR eco-anchor driven into the ground will never corrode and will not be affected by any weather conditions to which it is exposed, and as is the case with the competing steel products made of varnished steel or the ones galvanically coated with a micron coating. The eco-anchors offered by SADDAR can be reused, and what’s more, they can be ground up and re-processed into other products. Therefore, they fit into the requirements for products in the field of circular economy. In the years 2018-2020, SADDAR invested nearly USD 2.0 million in research and development to improve production efficiency, in order to reach a production level of 2.5 – 3 million eco-anchors per year, as well as to modernize and develop new innovative product models.
